Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs arrested in NYC after sex trafficking allegations
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on federal charges at a hotel in New York City Monday amid an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.
The disgraced rapper was taken into custody by Homeland Security Investigations at the Park Hyatt New York following a grand jury indictment.
“The hip hop mogul has fully cooperated and voluntarily came to New York in anticipation of the charges,” a source told us Monday.
Page Six learned he was being processed at 26 Federal Plaza in the Big Apple. The charges are currently unclear. Combs is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Marc Agnifilo, an attorney for Combs, wrote in a statement.
“Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
“He is an imperfect person but is not a criminal. To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges.”
Agnifilo added, “Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
Combs, 54, has been at the forefront of sexual misconduct allegations ever since his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura sued him for rape and physical abuse in November 2023.
Ventura, 38, claimed the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper routinely abused and mistreated her, including allegedly forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes, over the course of their 10-year relationship.
The “Me & U” singer also alleged Combs raped her in 2018 before they officially called it quits.
The exes settled the lawsuit privately one day after it was filed.
At the time, Combs denied the allegations against him. However, surveillance footage surfaced in May of the music mogul physically abusing Ventura at a hotel in March 2016.
The Bad Boy Records founder addressed the violent behavior days later in a video shared on Instagram.
“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted,” Combs said.
“I went and I sought out professional help, started going to therapy and rehab, had to ask god for his mercy and grace,” he continued.

Following Ventura’s lawsuit, several other alleged victims came forward, including Joi Dickerson-Neal, who claimed Combs raped and drugged her when she was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991.
Liza Gardner also accused Combs of raping her in the early 1990s when she was 16, Rolling Stone reported.
Combs faces several other lawsuits accusing him of gang rape, sex trafficking and racketeering.
In March, Homeland Security raided Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami in connection to a sex trafficking investigation.
At the time, Combs’ sons Justin and Christian were seen in handcuffs outside of his $40 million LA mansion.
At the time of the raids, the “Last Night” artist was seen at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport as he was preparing to travel to the Bahamas with his twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, sources told Page Six.
