Blake Lively fangirls over HGTV power couple Chip and Joanna Gaines during NYC run-in
They gained some new friends.
Blake Lively fangirled over HGTV power couple Chip and Joanna Gaines in New York City on Tuesday.
The “Gossip Girl” alum was out for a walk in downtown Manhattan when she had the surprise run-in with the “Fixer Upper” co-stars, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
Lively, 37, had a massive smile on her face as she chatted with the couple and at one point she even stopped to take a selfie with the dynamic duo.
Chip, 49, and Joanna, 46, appeared to be equally excited to bump into the “It Ends With Us” actress.
Lively looked chic in an oversized white and yellow jacket layered over a coordinating shirt, baggy blue jeans and quilted-leather pink Chanel clogs.
The blond beauty wore her hair down in waves and kept her pants cuffed at the ankles.
Joanna was dressed for the surprisingly warm weather, rocking a casual black tank and light-wash denim jeans. She also accessorized with silver hoop earrings and wore her hair neatly pulled back in a ponytail.
Chip matched his wife’s low-key aesthetic in a white long-sleeve button-down shirt, jeans, brown boots and a black baseball cap.
Lively’s impromptu gathering with the home renovators comes after she had lunch at Gemma, the Noho Italian trattoria located inside the Bowery Hotel.
The “Age of Adeline” star, who resides in a gorgeous Tribeca Loft, has clearly been on an Italian cuisine kick as she was spotted dining with a friend at Don Angie in the West Village on Monday night.
Page Six exclusively reported that Lively waited like a normal person to be seated at a table before proceeding to indulge in the eatery’s entire menu.

“They ate legit everything. Like, everything on the menu. The table for four was full of food,” our spy shared.
Lively, who was seated with her guest at a four-person table, even stopped during her meal to take photos with some fans.
We’re also told Lively was kind to the restaurant staffers and there were “definitely good vibes” at her table.
The Betty Buzz founder has a habit of hitting some of New York City’s most popular restaurants with her bestie, Taylor Swift.
Earlier this month, Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, went on a double date with Swift and Travis Kelce at the impossible-to-get-into Major Food group spot, The Corner Store, in Soho.
Last year, she and the “Blank Space” singer dined at Emilio’s Ballato with Brittany Mahomes. That April, Lively and the “Deadpool” actor linked up with Swift at social club Casa Cipriani.
