Travis Kelce’s mom Donna dishes on his meeting with Prince William at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour
Even with his rising fame, Travis Kelce still gets starstruck when meeting celebrities of a certain status, his mom revealed.
Donna Kelce, 71, opened up about her son meeting Prince William at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium over the summer, calling it “one of the coolest things.”
In an interview with Extra, Donna remembered Travis feeling a bit intimidated by the royal upon introduction.
“He said that ‘When you meet people like that, you know when the royals come in or Paul McCartney or Hugh Grant… somebody’s in the suite, you’re just like, who in this picture doesn’t fit? Why am I here and why am I even allowed to talk to these individuals? It just doesn’t seem right,'” Donna shared.
She continued: “But I think he’s handling it pretty well, he’s a pretty friendly guy.”
Travis echoed a similar sentiment when he dished on meeting the Prince of Wales and his children Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 9, on his New Heights podcasts in June.
“Dude, he was the coolest motherf****r,” he said. “He was awesome. They were an absolute delight to meet.”

“I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hands, like, ‘Sup, dude.’ We wanted to be polite.”
His brother, Jason, on the other hand, admitted he felt “emasculated” and put his “beer, like, 10 feet away.”
The Kansas City Chiefs player posed for photos with his girlfriend and Prince William’s family backstage during their meeting.
Earlier this month, Donna also gushed over her youngest son and his relationship with the “You Belong With Me” hitmaker as she explained why he’s the perfect match for the singer.
“He’s a good guy. He really is. He’s good,” she told us at the New York City red carpet premiere for FX’s “Grotesquerie,” which the NFL player stars in. “He’s kind. He’s generous. And from what I understand, so is she.”
“I hope they’re having a good time,” Donna added.
