Ana de Armas loves living ‘off the grid’ in rural $7M Vermont home ‘away from the craziness’
Ana de Armas has no regrets about leaving Los Angeles.
A year after Page Six exclusively revealed that de Armas had bought a $7 million mansion in Vermont, the actress has been enjoying life “off the grid.”
“I feel like nowadays, we all want to go away from the craziness of the world,” she said of her quiet life in New England during an interview with E! News Monday.
“We all want to have the chance to build your own safe space,” de Armas, 36, continued. “I’ve made that decision myself.”
Living in a rural area helped the “Blonde” star unplug from the madness of Hollywood and become more in tune with herself.
“I found a home where I really feel off the grid,” she continued. “I can collect myself and only bring there who I want to be with. I have my little cocoon there.”
The Cuban actress moved to California in 2014 to pursue a career in show business. However, after nearly a decade in Tinseltown, the “Knives Out” star decided it was “time to change.”
“[You have to] look out for yourself,” she told the outlet. “There’s a time when you learn what’s good for you and what’s not. What serves you the most? Pay attention to that and take action.”
Insiders previously told us that de Armas’ multimillion-dollar compound sits on 30 acres and boasts mountain views, open meadows, forests, trails and a swimming pool.
Although the actress occasionally shares photos of the beautiful scenery, she rarely posts inside her six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home.
Before her cross-country move, de Armas lived in Venice, Calif., but she put her home up on the market in 2020 while dating Ben Affleck.

After less than a year of dating, de Armas moved in with Affleck, 52. However, the pair split months later due to the actress’ desire to leave LA and her desire to have children.
“Ben is no longer dating Ana,” a source told People in January 2021. “She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn’t want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles.”
De Armas later revealed that the pair’s “horrible,” paparazzi-filled breakup cemented her decision to leave La La Land.
“Going through it [myself] confirmed my thoughts about, ‘This is not the place for me to be,’” she told Elle. “It became a little bit too much. There’s no escape. There’s no way out.”
In Los Angeles, she noted that there is “always the feeling of something that you don’t have, something missing. It’s a city that keeps you anxious.”
While she initially relocated to New York City, she snagged up her countryside estate in the Northeast.
