Selena Gomez looks chic in black velvet on Emmys 2024 red carpet

Selena Gomez, 32, arrived at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday night decked out in a timeless black velvet gown with an embellished halter neckline.
Walking the red carpet, the singer and actress, 32, showed off the floor-length, curve-hugging custom Ralph Lauren look, which was styled by Erin Walsh and silver sequins around the top as well as a train that flared out around her.
While her shoes were hidden, Gomez also wore Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including diamond vine drop earrings, a platinum mixed cluster bracelet, a white gold lock bangle with baguette and pavé diamonds and multiple diamond rings.
Further fueling engagement rumors with boyfriend Benny Blanco, she also sported a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany engagement ring with a diamond platinum band, although it was worn on her index finger.
The former Disney star also went the classic route when it came to her glam, opting to wear her long brown hair sleek and straight and going with brown eyeshadow, a subtle cat eye and glossy lips for the night.
Blanco was also spotted at the event but did not walk the red carpet.
Gomez is nominated for lead actress in a comedy series for her role on “Only Murders in the Building” — her first-ever Emmy nomination in an acting category — so it makes sense she would break out a bold look for the event.
In August, she promoted the forth season of hit Hulu show, which also stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, slipping on a sparkly black mini dress for the premiere.
The newly minted billionaire has no doubt had a number of stylish appearances in 2024.
Earlier in the month, she attended the premiere of her new film, “Emilia Perez,” at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, where she stepped out in a sequined Rodarte design that featured a peplum skirt and an eye-catching floral embellishment.
Gomez also stole the spotlight at the Emmys in January 2024, when she arrived in a semi-sheer Oscar de la Renta design that included a whopping 450,000 sequins.
While she didn’t leave with any awards that time, there’s a good chance she will tonight, as the show is also nominated for outstanding comedy series.
Gomez’s costar’s Short and Martin are both up for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series while Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep nabbed nominations for their supporting roles.
Either way, it’s clear that Gomez is going home with at least one big accomplishment: nailing a spot on our list of best-dressed stars of the night!
