Joshua Jackson, 46, shares the secret to ‘aging like fine wine’: ‘That’s the magic sauce’
Joshua Jackson divulged his secret to looking young after the internet went crazy over his glowing appearance at the 2024 Emmys on Sunday.
The “Dawson’s Creek” alum, 46, walked the red carpet at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, prompting netizens to weigh in on his age-defying facade.
“Joshua Jackson is aging like fine wine,” one fan wrote on X.
“Pacey is freezing and is aging backwards,” “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast host Amanda Hirsch wrote on her Instagram Story, referring to Jackson’s character from the early 2000s TV show.
“He has aged gorgeously,” a third viewer agreed.
“If Joshua Jackson ever realizes how much power he has over elder millennial women there is truly no stopping him,” a fourth X user wrote.
E! News’ Emmys red carpet correspondent, Laverne Cox, also noticed the actor’s spry showing and did her best to get his secret.
“You look good, honey,” she told him on the red carpet ahead of the star-studded event. “A lot of people who start out very young, by the time they get to your age, they’re a little weathered, they’re a little worn.”
The “Orange Is the New Black” alum, 52, continued, “How have you managed to stay so fresh and lovely-looking at this stage of life after being in show business for 35 years?”
At first, the former teen heartthrob joked about his age, telling Cox, “Once you hit your 40s, it’s all downhill.” But he ultimately shared that he was glowing because “life is good.”

“I think that’s the magic sauce,” he shared. “I love my life. I love what I do for a living. I’ve got a beautiful little girl. There’s not much to complain about.”
Jackson shares 4-year-old daughter Juno with his estranged wife, Jodie Turner-Smith.
The “Queen & Slim” star, 38, filed for divorce from the “Fringe” alum in October 2023 after four years of marriage.
Two months later, Jackson confirmed he was dating Lupita Nyong’o after they stepped out together for a romantic stroll. From there, they continued to pack on the PDA.
It seems there is no bad blood between the exes, as Turner-Smith told the Cut in June, “Good for them.”
“We need happiness in order to peacefully co-parent,” she added.
